Get Out of My Dream!

~ A Novelette by Andre Norton

Synopsis ~

Itlothis, a PerSearch agent, has come to the Hive to recall Oslan to his home world upon the unexpected death of his Clan Chief, only to find that she must follow him into a dream.

Write-up from a fan ~

Itlothis, a Per-Search agent, is assigned to find Oslan Sb Atto, who is needed on his home planet to take over the reign of his inheritance on Benold.  She finds him in a Dreamer's Hive on Ty-Kry.  Unable to make the Foostman (head of the Hive) awaken her client, she agrees to go into/share his dream in order to deliver his message.  Unfortunately, while she finds her quarry, she cannot make him see reason and awake from the dream until he has fulfilled what he perceives as his mission--to destroy the ruined fortress of Yul, thereby depriving the alien intelligence of its nest place from which it will return and destroy the whole of humanity on the planet of Yulgreave, Itlothis's home world. ~ SL
